yesterday i finished an illustration and this is the head of the girl! her accessory wears like crystals, and as you can see, the sun and its lighting come from the right side, so i focused on putting highlights on that side! I hope it serves as an example!! ><

I’m relieved to know that people appreciate my current art style. It’s kinda different than the one I used to have. This time, I put lotsa shadows and highlights to make the illustration more alive.

Gen 8 - Again, not all Sugimori. Likely James Turner this time

The linework looks shaky again, though it appears to more digital, like with a 'noise' brush. More noticable watercolor-like splotches with the highlights and shades. Looks more rough/sloppy/grungy in certain parts.

Gen 7 - The first major difference, as this is not Sugimori's art (Alolan forms/Mythicals/Last UBs)

Ohmura's style looks focused on leaving more parts 'bare', but still having dark shadows and a couple of highlights. His lines are also cleaner/smoother

Gen 6 - The bridge between the color and shade has become even thinner, and there appears to be more of an emphasis on the highlights than the shadows. The shadows are a lot 'simpler' and aren't 'wrapping' as often

Like, notice how there's a LOT more blending, there's more 'sharp/jagged' shadows and highlights, with some smoother shades still being used here and there depending on the mon.

I love my nose, I love the sunkissed tanned skin, the highlights on my hair, I love my kissable lips. It's going to be hard to say goodbye, but I think it's time to see something new.
