I think my details are lost more in my painting than my linework but details are life, even if it's just because I enjoy them! I love seeing the tiniest things that other artists include in their work--they add so much depth and really inspire me to keep going.
i like the #100percentzoom tag! i really encourage people to make giant canvases to work in and only work at 60% or so... since that ends up being about the 1:1 appearance of printing on paper goods anyway. zooming in too far just makes you work harder for no reason imo!
