It's so hot, I think we all might want to take a cue from #Sargent and find a nice cold lake for a dip 😎🌞🏊♂️⛱️
After many years of being sinfully ignorant, I finally decided to dive deeper into John Singer Sargent. Here are some quick introductory studies, but I'll be repeating these paintings a few times to learn how to make these colors/techniques mine. Wish me luck! #masterstudy #myart
🤷🏻♀️ Am I out of my mind ?

I decided to challenge myself to creating 💯 paintings with the program.
This abstract was created using only the Sargent brushes.

In 1920, #WinifredKnights was one of the first women to win the Prix de Rome in Decorative Painting for her epic work 'The Deluge'. Her surprising champion? John Singer #Sargent, who thought the work to have a 'rare technique in hue, figure and composition'. @Tate

For his depiction of the Danaïdes at the @BPLBoston, Sargent combined exotic and modern source material. He is said to have used none other than three Zeigfeld Follies girls as his models, which he combined with echoes of his images of Bedouin women carrying water jugs of 1891.
