Ok reposting, day 25, I fixed his back and center line (and one other error I made).

Now his back isn't too arced, I won't take down the other tweet though. But yeah! This is more refined I guess.

Today I tried with not having black lines. And it worked out very well.

it absolutely depends on the character. i usually go thru between 2-4 on average, but the character continues to be "refined" the more times I draw them.
Ex: First "finished" design attempt, first digital (essentially his "final" design), and current version.

Retouched the '' To Valhalla'' artwork because a friend of mine said that the rocks that are closer to the Viking were a bit meh, meaning they could be more refined so to speak xD

Hmm I don't think so. I have tried experimenting with style, I want like to have two styles. one that I can finish in a short amount of time and the other is detailed and refined but I still didn't subtle on anything :V
