Best known for his depictions of the Welsh landscape, Sir Kyffin Williams grew up on the island of Anglesey, situated on the north coast of Wales. With its beautiful sweeping hills and stunning coastline it is no wonder Williams became so inspired by the Welsh countryside.

Kyffin Williams is best known for his passion for the rugged landscape of North Wales, and this particular piece depicts the area of Nant Gwynant of Snowdonia. The viewer is transported to the very base of Snowdonia, their eyes drawn to the track leading up the mountain.
