The females will stock up on pollen and leave the fig through the dug tunnels (thanks males) to find another fig they can crawl into to lay their eggs and pollinate, starting the cycle again. (6/x)

Actually only one insect can - the fig wasp (mind you there are probably 100s of species)! A female wasp will crawl through the tiny opening in the fig to lay her eggs inside. While there, she pollinates the flowers. (4/x)
