Another WIP Handout. It's not just about 'finger arcs'. But also, "Progressions". I try to notice them, and play them up, when possible, to strengthen the gesture of the pose.

Mermay Day 26. Was having a bit of artist block, so I decided to do some extra figure drawing. Then made some into mermaids. Nice little exercise that helped.

Post a picture of your OC and three things that inspired them
OC: Kathryn Scarlett

Sakura (gestures & high energy) & Karin (melee fighting style)
Indie Rapper Sammus (some outfit ideas, general facial features)
Penny Proud (variation of hairstyle & voice) https://t.co/wuRQAmJ2Ux

"Practicing a useless gesture."
I like this version better because of the cropping and the tattoos I added that I'm considering getting in the future.

Took time off to do gesture practice to make more balanced poses, so this is my first illustration in a couple days!

What a nice gesture Chaotic. I just finished studying animation in college and like creating a detailed as well as cartoon style.

First one would probably just yawn coming to the fight and look at you and Laugh then gesture you to fight. Second would just look at a wanted picture of a badly drawn pic of the opponent and complain how little money this is gonna give her or something to that regard.
