You know, looking back, a lot of my flats weren't actually bad. I should really resist the urge to shade in every single drawing I make.
I mean, I guess I saw it as good enough when I at least stylized the background. But even so, I need to accept simple backgrounds too.

I'll do my best. Today wasn't a waste thankfully; I did get the flats done. I just had to do more separating than I thought (for e.g. the hair here is 3 separate layers, the front for bangs, the center/back, leading into the furthest back layer of the ponytail)
