Oooh I love these ones. I did a series of illustrations a few years back of dangerous creatures from Celtic folklore, including two of the Baobhan Sith! Where do you go for source material on them? I only found a few examples of stories at the time!

In folklore, Amabie is a three-legged (finned?) mermaid-like creature. Fun fact; Japan is using Amabie as a good luck charm against COVID since drawing her is supposed to bring good health. Concept sketch in the comments.

Oni! I love Yokai and all things Japanese Folklore, but Oni are by far the coolest. Red, green, or blue skin, tusks and horns. They’re depicted as vicious and ruthless, but I like to write them a bit more “humanlike”
