When you feel yourself drowning in a pool of sadness, light the candle of hope that resides within you and let it guide you towards the true light .

Riptide!

The original was a zombie that attacked with 2 iron axes with seaweed on his head. I didn't know how to create a behavior where they can drown victims, but now..

Breathe 💬🌊 TW: Drowning/New Drowning. Short comic for some backstory on Nimae, my Fathomless Warlock. He's had bad times with the sea.

I wanted to play with framing using text and the feeling of floating underwater, with only deep blue above and beneath you.

The embodiment of selfishness and avarice, Larfleeze?
a hopeful lad, brother Hymn?
there's no way this dude is having a good time, Salaak?
and considering you're a deity,
the entity of compassion and overall slimyness, Proselyte?
(ok, I'm done drowning you with lanterns 😅)

In Polish folklore souls of drown women become topielica(s). They feed on the moonlight and sing songs that lure men towards them, into the water.
A flute made when their song can be heard will have an exceptionally beautiful sound.

Nykur - a water horse.

Nykurs are cruel creatures. They present themselves as tame, friendly 🐴, but anyone who mounts them will find themselves sticking to it’s back. The nykur then gallops off into the 🌊, plunging its rider into the 💦 and drowning them.

Marina's tip of the day~
It's relatively easy for good people to be drowned out by all the noise that chaos makes. But, if you continue to sew your seeds of Positivity. You'll eventually either be heard by others you influenced. Or noticed by how much of an impact you've made~
