Back when I had a Light type in my Fakemon Gen it was more literal. Things like Volbeat were retyped to include Light and the Light Fakemon of mine were these.
But even then, that kinda overlaps with Electric quite a bit.

Take a look at how different each goomba, koooa, shy guy, ect were in the first row games to get what I mean. Each enemy archetype felt more like an entire species of different people rather than just an enemy type

if you all want a magical girl anime that I never see talked about but I was incredibly and surprisingly touched by I recommend Pretear!! It's got some very strong archetypes that by the end are thrown on their head and excellent unexpected character development. also the TWIST.
