Tried to do a thumbnail with a background, but it didn't work out well. I'm still learning how to draw with markers ~

3. flat color - abstract background, no shading

2. shaded character- abstract background, simple shading, cuts off at the thigh or knee

1. full drawing- shaded background, can have complex lighting

Had fun playing with this guachey, bloomey, storybook texture again on a more detailed background, and I really love how the lighting + shading turned out. There’s something so charming about flatter cartoon characters on painterly backgrounds.

@ASihagen It's perspective trick. As you can see the feet go closer to the bottom of the picture. Meaning that she is actually not growing, but getting closer to the camera. So the trick isn't on herself, but on the background, since it's a plain color, you can't see the movement.

Did a little paint study sorta with final destination's background, like how it turned out so here it is

Been working on the Umineko Chiru review in the background, and I think I've nailed what my main criticism of Umineko is.
