And here's female Staraptor! This one was actually really fun to do, and I got to draw birds for the first time! Simplified the design a bit and removed the colour tip on the head to keep the male more colourful and attractive (as per the norm for birds).

Trying to experiment with my style a bit 😊 I think all artists need to have few versions of their art style: simplified, normal and fully rendered. I am currently ok with my normal style and now I am planning to work more on simplified version, which is not so easy as I thought)

@marksjonathan71 @ZakaZ96 I disagree because if that were true Bugs would look more like Tom and Jerry do in their movie as opposed to looking more like Sonic’s redesign.

His fur has a more noticeable texture to it to make him more 3D whereas his 2D design is way more simplified and not as detailed.

shitty slugbird(beetle?) doodles during class, with speciation for the males.
the black shows err, simplified bones (haven't designed those yet) but they got an extra stretch of bone in the wing that's been subsumed a bit like bird thighs.

Next one is Velmont. I already did a redesign of him like a year ago, so now I just simplified his clothes and changed his colors and name.
I tried with both Owen and Velmont to look less like Elias Acorn by trying different features.
