2017 vs 2021

Of course it's not entirely fair to compare these two since I spent 5 times longer on the 2021 version.

The inspiration for the original piece were those amazing Jugendstil stained glass flowers, so I referenced them again for this painting.

Star light, star bright
First star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might
Have the wish I wish tonight.

The idea of wishing on a star seems to be a very ancient one.
The rhyme has been referenced by artists from Steinbeck to Madonna. (🎨 C M Barker)

Four heavily referenced drawings of my Cult Leader characters. Only Alek got a face because I got tired! But I'll do better, more sfw portraits of Ayeleen, Daciana, and Lucien as well later on.

I managed to shoehorn a reason to draw violins into my werewolf comic and I'm absurdly proud of this (heavily referenced) panel. I hate when violin playing looks absurd in drawings 🙃

Playing around with digital watercolor, cuz doing art just for fun is important when I’m mostly doing it for work reasons! Not entirely satisfied with how this came out, but a good time! Jacket sleeve is my favorite bit.
