1st artwork was most directly inspired by a song. It’s “Every Day is Like Sunday” by Morrissey

Maurice’s design and personality was inspired off of songs by The Smith’s, The Cure and similar acts.
But the idea of him being infected by a mind demon came from listening to Muse.
