for example in this drawing (sorry i know its prob kinda blurry) diff sections of the hair are slightly diff colors so its easy to distinguish w/out lines. & where the head meets the neck is diff colors too. & where the jacket sleeve meets the rest of the jacket

More today. This is a good example of when I think finishing a project is good. I hated it right up until I added the gold lines. While it might not be my favorite piece that I’ve done, I like it, which is an important and satisfying shift in opinion.
