Fun fact: My VERY first EXE idea was an in universe comic focused on how a situation like that would effect the characters. (1/8, please read :))
The "EXE" was something called an "EX Parasite" that used DNA to replicate others, this one being EX-E (alongside EX-A, EX-B, etc)
