@NanaAsteria a quick example I found is these two images from pixiv.
Yae Miko's design doesn't have that many complex shapes to it, mostly just 4 long shapes, while the micro detail has a beautiful flower embroidery. and little details on the edges to break up the shapes.

Quick test with my last drawing. seeing if I can add those things artists add to the edges of their shadows, whatever their called, and how that looks.

It's a small subtle detail but I like the pointed edges on fara's jaw in his troll form. It takes a lot of effort to hide that monstrous mouth and he's done the best he could!
