Did you know that not all holly leaves are prickly? If the plant finds its leaves are nibbled by animals 🦌🐐 it switches genes to make them spiky when regrow. On taller trees, the lower leaves are prickly while the upper leaves have smooth edges.

I changed colours bcs I thought that'd be fun. it's mostly value work but i learnt some things about saturation too
it's bizarre to work in such a different style BUT- i feel like i learnt a lot abt edges & workflows

Diamondhead was a character I was dreading. So many edges and stuff. Also trying to figure out her head wasn't great. But here we are. Not sure which uniform I'll go with. On on hand there's the less sexist/modest version but on the other hand girl-abs!

Not sure if it's been shared before but Zabuton cushion has quite a wide invisible hitbox(?) at the edges so it's fun for making...invisible paths. And to 'float' mannequins.
Used this for the fc haunted basement during halloween

a quick example I found is these two images from pixiv.
Yae Miko's design doesn't have that many complex shapes to it, mostly just 4 long shapes, while the micro detail has a beautiful flower embroidery. and little details on the edges to break up the shapes.
