Hi #VisibleWomen! I'm Iltaniel, a 2D illustration artist returning after a long break trying to hone my skills further. One day, I'd love to work in the concept art industry.
I primarily paint fantasy and Destiny fan art and love anything cosmic, dark, and atmospheric.
Tomorrow college starts for me and I anticipate being swarmed with work. Grades are my top priority so I am going to be closing my commissions for a week or two. If things look good I will open back up again, if not I will instead practice and hone my craft further.
Wow, the Paula Rego exhibition @Tate was really powerful heady stuff. I was surprised at how large some of the pieces were, & enjoyed being able to hone-in on details, symbols & some truly accomplished mark-making.
ppl bashing young artists is basically bashing their younger self who took time to hone the skills they have now.

@dicepencilpaper Keith Parkinson was one of the greats in fantasy art.
If not for his untimely death, he would have continued to hone his craft (which he was mastering at a young age), & he would be in the forefront of the genre today.
