Saiyan Saga and Frieza saga are peak Vegeta. He's just an angry little gremlin, his attacks are cool, he's pragmatic and despite being barely a head taller than Krillin he still manages to be very intimidating. He definitely worked better as an anti-hero/villain in my opinion.

In Dragon Ball FighterZ, Krillin's intro animation has him imitate one of Bruce Lee's famous moves, launching a kick, then turning with his leg stretched.
