Characters etc inserted as shortcuts can either bother me or not. Depends on how/how much they impact the story I guess. Here Hanataro didn't bother me as he simply gave us directions and yet also added to the risk as dead weight our MCs would still have to protect..

One of my MCs Tyler watched his parents get murdered in front of his eyes and his younger brother get kidnapped when he was 16 so he's pretty messed up mentally. Since he's a cop he sees things that can teigger a mental episode like a panic attack

My take on the Fire Emblem character discourse:

I think that what a character’s premise is and what their context is really factors into how people view their designs.

The Engage MCs have two-tone hair and eyes in a universe where that’s not really a thing afaik.1/?
