Life in the park: why do people kill animals? Why are so many birds of prey being killed? The Moorland Association, a lobby group for grouse moor owners, has a new chair, who will hopefully tackle this problem.........https://t.co/q7WQaOhWWz........ (Images: BHL)
Today on Myth & Moor: music for the birds (and a couple of reading recommendations too), with art by Teresa Jenellen and others. https://t.co/XgDtPychho

Lovely afternoon on the Nun’s moor, Newcastle, studying the Skylarks. Although not on the same scale as a good few decades ago, the population looks reasonably good, with singing birds and therefore territories close together, watercolour sketch. Have a good night all 👍

First Chiffchaff for me this year, Nun‘s moor Newcastle, a day later than last year, on the day’s walk. The familiar jaunty call lifting the worry. Hope all well - try and get out amongst nature, it can really help, take care
