@GianDalessio1 This is it (final/stage), it's about the myth of Narcissus
Narcissus Poeticus is the last #daffodil to flower, well into March. In Greek legend Narcissus faded away from self-obsession, & was turned into the white daffodil by Nemesis. It then became the flower Persephone was gathering when she was abducted by Pluto. #FolkloreThursday
@RealAlexMouse Some of them were thought up by followers. However, Audrey was named after Audrey Hepburn, Adonis and Narcissus were named after Greek gods, Judy is named after my grandmother
Taras Shevchenko, undisputed father of Ukrainian literature, was born 9/3/1814. He was also a painter; see Dying Gladiator and Echo & Narcissus. TESTAMENT (1845):
"When I die, then make my grave
high on an ancient mound,
in my own beloved Ukraine,
in steppeland without bound"
Today's #ThrowbackThursday is a wonderful set of #commissions by @Papita__Feliz of Narcissus dressed up

Echo and Narcissus (1903) by John William Waterhouse (English, 1849–1917). Walker Art Gallery. Narcissus is unable to tear himself away from his handsome reflection and dies. Echo wastes away to a disembodied voice. #RomanMyth
it's both yootaeyang month and narcissus month so it was only logical to combine the two in a simple anime screenshot-like picture. (the sketch has been in my drafts for over a year and i finally finished it)

DO NOT REPOST/QRT
Daffodils get their Latin name from the Greek myth of Narcissus, who fell in love with his own reflection.
The flower in the legend was probably this one, the white and orange Narcissus tazetta, known to have grown in ancient Greece.
