I managed to draw "so-detailed-looking-rough-sketch" by keep drawing mechs for 13 years, it took long time to shorten the time performance.
The colour you pick and the shadow you add is the most important thing.

Filler post: All the Mua test doodles I did ~last week. Since I hadn't really drawn them that much, I wanted to figure out rough ideas for the face/hair shapes while sketching. Some of these expressions aren't very in-character, but learning what doesn't work is also important.
I need you all to understand that aside from me being scared they'll minimize the cat incident in Checkmate, I am scared they'll cut this too. It's so important to me because it connects to Requiem where Sena's finally able to tell Leo face-to-face what he couldn't at that time-
These were all drawn in August, so they don't hold up to my current skill level. I might redo them at some point. Feel free to take these as general design guidelines, since proportions/details may be a little funky - the overall silhouette is the important part!
