Anyone else watch Oban Star Racers way back when Jetix was a thing? Loved that show to bits. All of the Alien designs were amazing but Spirit's stuck with me the most.

Nah, the shading is totally different. It's not even a thing with the card scan, it's literally colored differently in some areas.

The coloring is also consistent with Ifrit's and Indrajit's if you put all three side by side and then compare them to Kaneko's stuff.

in case anyones wondering why the newest update for the simpbur mod is taking so long. i want you to know, the grids on each of the spirit's sprites are just a little bit off. and theres like 100 sprites. and editing them all means combing through it frame by frame.
