Compared w/ the 2021 remake, I like the 2001 version better. Hao's relationship reveal with Yoh is much more satisfying, and I like the OG scenes where Hao goes berserk when Yoh is threatened. In the OG version,  Hao did end up being one with Yoh by eating his soul.
