2.) went with lazy designs that were borrowed from other games and non-prey sources (thus rife w stereotypes) AND made the cast incredibly pale when they had ppl right on hand proving that dark skinned ppl can fit perf in a fantasy anime story-they simply didn’t want to do it

Thanks.

Her party, the Gaggle of Bastards, is what I call the logical conclusion to the horny bard stereotype. And no they're not looking for Rom, he helped set them up for their first adventure.

I'm not helping the stereotype of Being Ace and really liking dragons, huh. https://t.co/IhVdAyHFbR

iii. it’s not all bad

some things in sumeru are well done. for example, nilou’s animations as shown in the trailer is quite accurate to persian traditional dances. it’s lovely to watch, despite the fact that her design feeds into the western ‘belly dancer’ stereotype.

If it's about bad stereotypes (which it's supposed to be to make sense, does it?) then the top left is dubious and the top right implies that liking math is bad. I cannot approve of that implication, sorry. (And the girl below can't either.)

So Mihoyo has…

1. Made a their first playable black girl hate her skin

2. Made the black girl’s mom into a racial stereotype of black women

3. In Star Rail’s beta they gave a pale NPC an afro and named them “Afro”

4. Whitewashed a dark skin black queen/s.

*sigh*

s and me-tubers, who was the first character to leave an impression on you? Or one of your OG favorites?

For me it's Soma Schickshal from God Eater. He was the first Indian characters I ever saw that didn't fall into lame stereotypes~

Is it a stereotype that OCs lift?

I hope so

- Please note that this mini series is NOT meant as a way to hate specific series / characters, this is just a way to note the stereotypes I’m a bit tired of seeing in the media. Also, MOST OF ALL, it’s because I’d like to avoid creating too many stereotypical characters :)

I have a stereotype series... and after I encountered dozens of them ... just added this to the rooster. 🤢🤮

while I do love to play on some class stereotypes, my characters are usually not too close to them

feat. my noble wizard Katarina, draconic sorcerer Pearl (she is very in touch with nature) and my asocial bard Nemea 😊

There's some examples I can give you as far as I know.

Scrafty stereotypes Punk and Hip-Hop dancers; while, even though it's based mainly on a practitioner of yoga, Medicham also takes part of its concept as a belly dancer.

I don't need to explain Meloetta, tho.

I would say One Piece but Queers are painted in a sort of neutral light there, generally queers are stereotyped as men who wear girl clothes in One Piece ( yikes ) but there are some queers who are just plain badass and awesome. Probably Undertale tbh.

OK so this was fun until the sudden racist stereotype appeared :/

(Chinese - and not shown)

Lil man here now.

Pros:
-literally every stereotype about rabbits
-funny (sometimes)
-good cook
Cons:
-head supremely empty
-takes things too literally

As an Indian I really appreciate this depiction of Indian curry boi. They really put every stereotype in to make sure people know he was Indian lmao.
