From a universal standpoint we see how the deaths of magical girls affect people such as Undine and the overall public perception of them being a huge thing in this world. And yet, when the Alchemicals died, while I was shocked, I can't say I was sad about it.

Each Alchemical has their own unique personality for a standard magical girl team. In flashbacks we see them fleshed out a bit more, but that only happens after the main event occurs. Meaning the characters we are supposed to connect to don't get a lot of development.
