I want to dye my hair like Zakuro but the problem is that majority of his hair is very ashy. So I could just warm up my current colour and it would fit but then there's those highlights he has.. So which colour would it need to be in the end...

not seeing any resources when i was a kid is the reason why i, A BLACK PERSON, was drawing myself with fucking ashy decomp skin when i was 12... look at this. horrible

Some people will try for a different blending mode, but because a lot of colorists aren't familiar with black skin they'll settle on VERY ashy final looks like this, which can also get very white. Depending on the pencils, its hard to even recognise this as black skin sometimes.
