Am I crazy or is Doom Eternal just way too bloated with tutorials, required strategies for enemies, required weapons for things that should be pickups, and equal parts not enough and too much plot? (cutscenes vs codex entries) I know its a 2020 game but I've only now played it.

That’s him! I can’t find the picture it reminded me of, but this is close. The one Angron reminds me of was one of the interior covers of a 3rd Ed Codex. It was this crazy, flayed face. Such a distinct style.
