One thing I appreciate about Invincible is that it doesn't shy away from the brutality of superheroism. When so many others go to lengths to make everything seem clean and sanitary, Walker leans hard into the violence to make you feel every punch and kick as much as the victim.
Bloodtype and his over-the-top, brutal "heroism" seems like a direct send up of both the EXTREME! Image superheroes and the growing grim and gritty trend that came out of the '80s.
And as the story concludes Luthor appears to discover a cosmic truth, that Earth is predisposed to Entropy and not to Justice.
He takes this as an invalidation of heroism and his philosophy shatters.
