When I finish images, I see many mistakes.
I usually leave it and try to remember for future. Sometimes it bugs me and I fix.
This time, I forgot bands around the eyes. Fixed. It’s ok!

Anyway, for my pixel art, I use PyxelEdit for tiles and Aseprite for animations. My painting process is nearly identical to my illustration process, just minus the printout/real world ink step. And that's about that.

Tireless Tracker. I’d like to say I go all out and buy numerous expensive props when shooting references for an illustration, but I don’t. A Wiffle ball bat is my favorite prop of choice!
