a tip to VTubers! for assets and even your model, be sure to use the bilinear scale filter in OBS on them, so they look smoother. Right click on the source > scale filter. use that on everything that you resize and that's it! looks better!

While I love PC98 art, the PC88 style is much more fun for me to work with . Usually I start with a scanned drawing, trace it, add placeholder color, resize it vertically by 50%. and then I'll start cleaning it up. I also look at endless dither references https://t.co/VjXfkfbBix

You can just resize characters digitally these days, but that sometimes messes with the lineweight, if details get too small it can just become unreadable noise. So some productions still use distance models. Steven Universe makes liberal use of them for instance:

Here's her new sheet! I gave her laced up boots to call back to the cothurnus boots she is often depicted with. Hard to see in the resized version, but I also gave her some sword earrings, as swords are another one of her symbols.

Just found out that Twitch might not automatically resize the banners above when being uploaded. If you get an error message, use one of these resized banners instead!
