@yoofilos Wait til you hear how much the mushussu resembles a silesaurid….
@origamiPete Sachicasaurus vitae, it's closely related to "Kronosaurus" boyacensis (with the latter likely being a species of Sachica) and they're both found in Colombia's Paja formation during the early cretaceous. They coexisted with two other pliosaurids and several other marine reptiles.

「偉大な緒城の暴君」
日本語で表記すると、そんなに悪くない名前な気がする
個人的には結構好きな恐竜。

2 - Mageraptor mirificus ( Compsognathidae )
3 - Volcanospinus krakatoensis ( Stegosaurid )
4 - Mudimimus indencis ( Plesiosaurid )
Dino Fact!
Ankylosaurus (Fused Lizard) is an ankylosaurid from Late Cretaceous North America! Its most well-known defense was its tail club, but it also had four horns on the sides of its face, which would prevent predators from going for its head!

Dino Fact!
Zuul (after the Ghostbusters villain) is an ankylosaurid from Late Cretaceous North America! The species name Z. crurivastator means "destroyer of shins," after how ankylosaurs defended themselves, breaking a predator's legs with their club tails!

Dino Fact!
Chialingosaurus (Chialing Lizard) is a stegosaurid from Late Cretaceous China! Like Tuojiangosaurus, it had a distinct look so they could themselves apart from other stegosaurs! Its spikes ran all the way down its tail instead of just the end!

Ugh, still no time for social media thanks to a manic workload. Here's some driveby #FossilFriday #paleoart of the Brazilian spinosaurid Irritator predating pterosaurs, from 2018, to keep my feed from drying up entirely.
Dino Fact!
Tuojiangosaurus (Tuo river lizard) is a stegosaurid from Late Jurassic China! Its backplates were narrow and taller than most stegosaurs, likely so they could tell each other apart from other stegosaurs they lived with like Chialingosaurus!

Dino Fact!
Dacentrurus (Very sharp tail) is a stegosaurid from Late Jurassic Europe! It was technically the very first stegosaur ever found! It originally went by the name Omosaurus, but the name was already taken by a prehistoric crocodile!

For my dino friends that confuse my magnosaurus for a raptor…
Image 1 various megalosaurid species skulls. Image 2 velociraptor skull.
I remember seeing a completely random WoW screenshot with a saurid in a cooking hat and thinking "this must be my pfp on social media"
1st one is from 2020, while 2nd is recent.
See the progress?
