A bearded vulture in a new style I'm trying out for some fun. Created this for an old friend of mine. Had a lot of fun with it.

This design has been waiting on my hard drive for roughly a month now, since I made it for a mystery raffle...
Considering the raffle just ended, I can finally share them in all their glory!!

They're based on "Aasgeier" - a german word for vultures who mainly eat carrion. 🦅🦴

Do you need an awesome vulture sticker? Or t-shirt or pin? We are 75% of the way to funding! Will you help us get there?

Proceeds help fund my conservation education & wildlife rehabilitation volunteer work :)

It was packed with love, not with vultures. Which, to be honest, is a little disappointing.

Inktober Day 27- Vulture

They’re freaky, but pretty darn neat. Important too, they’re nature’s undertakers.

When I was going to college in the morning I would see vultures perched up on phone poles and fence posts with their wings spread out, sunning themselves.

Dromaeosaur at Dusk.
A speculative dromaeosaur, inspired by modern day vultures. Whilst many species were undoubtedly predatory, perhaps some were also carrion-feeders, cleaning up the carcasses left behind by larger carnivorous theropods.

Day 17: Ornament
Bearded Vulture

My inspiration for this comes from the way bearded vultures “decorate” them selves with dust to make their feathers turn orange.

I'm celebrating with a new female mythical creature each day until the end of the month!
Today is the Keres, Greek bringers of death and vultures of the spirit realm. They are said to be among the first horrors released from Pandora's Box.

Vultures are a very important part of our ecosystem and deserve the same respect as every other creature! I love seeing them goof around on my trip across Alligator Alley.

Happy International Vulture Awareness Day! Vultures can have a pretty bad reputation, but they are an ecologically vital group of birds.

This is a Andean Condor, a type of New World vulture. Taken at the World Bird Sanctuary in Saint Louis.

Today is and I decided to draw a king vulture to break in my new copics! These vultures from Central and South America are not closely related to the old world vultures, in fact their similarities are fine example of convergent evolution.
