It's based, in its way, on a true story.

My dad, Michael Avallone, (aka ) was a WW2 vet and a hard boiled pulp fiction writer.

When he told me the classic bedtime story fairy tales he decided to infuse them with his actual life experiences.

My eight-page piece in this is a dream come true for me: a comic book adaptation of the bedtime stories my dad used to tell me.

When your dad (aka ) is a WW2 vet and a hard-boiled pulp fiction writer... fairy tales are a little... different. https://t.co/3zo7rKCxRt

Bedtime Stories

Whenever I try to sleep at night,
It always feels like there's a monster lurking inside
I tried looking for it left and right
But there's nothing there
Neither at the ceiling nor under the bed

Was it just all in my head?

"A really beautiful book, full of stars and dreams, perfect for cosy bedtime moments."

Chiaki Okada's illustrations are stunning!

For all the stars across the sky,
big and little and bright.
Here's a wish from me to you,
before we say goodnight...

A super bubbly li'l Honey singing with her toy mic! From the look of her night time pull-ups she's probably avoiding bedtime with a song.

I'd say she's probably 4 or 5 here.

Just a shader sketch since I don't have a lot of time for finished personal art.
