It's good to note that by this point Cass has had nearly all of her own found family die...

Mostly I'm thinking about how Richard in The Question made a clear distinction between "teaching" and "helping learn." Like this Shiva doesn't want to teach Cass anything (unless she asks), but she *does* want to see her discover herself without the burden of expectations.
