Sharing my thoughts today:

It took me 2 days' worth of free time and spare energy to make this sprite animation. I watch him walk, make corrections, and watch it again. I work for hours until my head hurts. Even so, I still don't think it's perfect.

Okay, well this is embarrassing old art, but I was messing around with color correction and tone curves and managed to get a colorful effect I really liked.
Normal<-->Color adjusted.
I just hope I can remember what I did and do it again in future art!

full pic with little correction, little trivia: the red ♣symbol over Amy's head depict a form of romance I borrowed from homestuck; While in this pic, both Blaze and Shadow ♥ Amy in a straightforward way, the concerned is more in a "Can I PLEASE get a waffle" type of vibe.

This "street creature" (Ronto), perhaps the strangest of the bunch. Don't ask what's going on with the tail. I recall pitching it as hard shell, like that pink plate like structure around the mouth. Ballpoint, colored pencil, design marker, correction fluid on copy paper. 1994

I saw a comparison picture of different color correction methods for GBC games used by emulators in the Bottle Grotto dungeon, but I noticed that the gbc-color shader wasn't included.
1st: Raw color values
2nd: gbc-color, brighten_screen = 0
3rd: gbc-color, brighten_screen = 1.2
