I put those to characters first because this needs an explanation: they were originaly two different OCs (Mike and Zaira), but that was like 15 years ago.

The shadow is representing the hardships of life while Yumeoi represents the successes in life, but learning about the hardships of life makes him more thankful for his own. 「なんて素敵な日だ」could be a lie for the shadow and the truth for Yumeoi
