Today would have been my mom’s 64th birthday… so I painted her

She wasn’t my bio mom, but she was the only real mom I ever had, & losing her at 17 will never not hurt. I miss her even more now than I did then & I never imagined that was possible

When I'm painting, I usually break it up into stages.

1. Block in values
2. Lay in colors
3. Light the set
4. Add texture/fx
5. Final touches

That way you can focus on one task and save time.
