In my original draft, I'd made a drawing of Daniel Hall, using ink and negative space, but ended up scrapping that one. So the one I stuck with is the classic Sandman of the comics.

this was an extremely deep cut reference to an earlier draft of never satisfied where lucy's parentage was going to be a bigger deal much earlier, and rothart was going to throw sylas off a boat at night and drown him so lucy would inherit. it was a very different comic
