Did this to test my new tablet configuration, my first drawing done with my laptop. I also played with a shading style reminiscent of my older works; I'm glad I evolved past this, but it was refreshing in a way.

They ride atop a Beach Ball to get across stage hazards.
Once defeated Mario can use the balls to traverse the level further, somewhat reminiscent of the "Ganchan" Enemies found in Mario Land 1
