Y'shtola was not even remotely pale in 1.0. I attached some daylight screenshots.

Dark Agnes de Chastillon was French; Red Sonya of Rogatino was Euro-Russian.
Red Sonya is from Hyrkania and has pale skin.
Yet all other Hyrkanians from comics, paintings, films, and RGPs are portrayed as looking like this:
