I finally came up with a design and color palette for my character Fang! I plan on making a cleaner ref of him

Fang is a dragon pony hybrid who comes from one of the wealthiest families. Smart when it comes to business but dumb as a rock otherwise

Yeah, hand eye coordination is just something have to adapt to, and it is important that you adapt the right way, like drawing from your arm and not your wrist.
And yeah, I think most artists draw a sketch layer first and then go back over it with a cleaner line.
