A not so quick but quick enough art study. I love studying photography. It forces you to sharpen your observation and problem solve hence bringing out different "style" elements that are unique to you, because everyone perceives art differently.

I find myself sketching if I need to concentrate on something non-visual; so, of course I love sketching while I play D&D! During today’s session I sketched out my character, Runt Thistlebottom, a forest gnome druid. Here’s a cleaned up sketch and color study.

A quick sketch for monster/creature anatomy study. What Ulrich would look like in his shadow beast form. I am not going to fix any anatomy mistakes, I might change the design later on.
Today's study. I'm either missing something or I'm just executing it poorly. Well either way I'ma have to study some more. Progress was made though.
Study, study, study....I never draw anymore, I feel so defeated because I can’t paint how I want to. But pushing through it.

Today I did a little study.
The overall design wasn't important. I just wanted to improve in some areas.
While I kept the thickness of the outlines constant, I broke the rule in "form-giving" places.
Also I used a more atmospheric hue for the shadows. (I made them blue lol)
Some Swishy Swooshy™ grass study. (I spent way too long on this but dam procedural animation is so rewarding when you pull it off)

@afroninja180 I think it has to do a lot with having access to being able to view references and different styles from a much earlier age, along with being able to study.
These first two are from when I was 13/14 and the next two are more recent having been from 15/16
