I made some personal gradient maps for some basic colors. So it’s really just a click to color the raven in black, the tree in brown and the grass in green with some fine shadings.
But at this point I am just at the basic color! That’s not done yet.

Base, shading on both ends, lighter color for highlights in middle, then a big curve across with an even lighter color and erase some parts on low opacity :D

For traditional just slap some gradients of selected color and leave the middle blank and hope it looks good >.>

Achieved with a little bit of static sprite overlay on typically unoccupied scanlines.

Some progress on this was once lost in a surprise reboot. Finally decided to get back in the saddle redraw the lost work, and added a nicer sky gradient.

Similar to octolings, Salmonlings have pointed claw like fingers. They have a gradient that’s always the darker gray

Salmonlings always have gills that are either the primary or secondary hair colors
