part of the risk in taking a break from drawing almost at all for seven years is that it takes you a bit to walk back to where you were when you left off.
i think that's okay. it's nice to feel that sense of progress, even if it's just retreading old ground.

Work in progress, finger painting the Zeta sketch that I did in Procreate. I don't have an Apple pencil or stylus so I literally painted this with my finger. Really fun process so far. Still a lot of work to do on this one but it's getting closer to finish the more I work on it.

It is surprising, but understandable. I know that there’s a revision of amplectobeluid mouths in progress, and even looking at the pictures, it seems like the smooth and tuberculate plates almost come in rows, behind the mouth. Or something. I don’t know.
