[old art] I decided that I wanted him to be more animalistic in some way to fit him being a weird little monster, testing people’s reception by adding fur tufts in sketches and dropping the idea that he has pawpads, just covers them up somehow because he doesn’t want to be cute
I’m listening to The Human League’s Travelogue and think I’ve finally worked out that the bit of synthpop I don’t like is the pop bit. When the synths are weird and uncomfortable and overbearing then I love it. Anywhere near a pop song and I find it unpleasantly cloying somehow
