When Usagi transformed into Super Sailor Moon in the '90s anime, her Cosmic Heart Compact changed from red to pink in color. However, animators were not always consistent about this.

Our vision is to create a system so that:
1. The flow of money goes directly from fans to animators
2. Sufficient time and budget are provided for each production
3. Profit made from anime sales is returned to animators

Doing something random in my sketchbook then just slapping some digital paint around, experimenting with colour in photoshop is one of my favourite things to do at the moment .

In order to change the current situation, we have set our next goal to making a new anime production system were profits made by the sales of anime are directly returned to animators.

Production committees are necessary in avoiding large debts, but simultaneously, they bring some issues. Anime studios work in debt so they cannot pay enough salaries for animators, and animators have to live in poverty.

Idk how I feel about this. Sure the outfit changes are nice and all, but still dude. THIS November? Even after all the news about the pretty shit work conditions the animators are in?

What do we mean by "Technical Support”?
Boarders of the Animator Dormitory can participate in (for free):
■ a monthly drawing class in which skilled animators teach boarders animation techniques
■ a monthly sketching session.

We are setting up a mini studio in the Animator Dormitory as a workplace for animators involved in the New Anime-Making System, and will be live-streaming our progress.
Our Animator Dormitory is an essential core to start off our new project.

Noice. And yeah, it was definitely avant-garde in 1997, especially for anime which was usually thought to be for kiddos at the time.
Gurren lagann is pretty similar and has a lot of the same animators working on it, but it has a more humorous overtone.
