Mia Ikumi's work has been an influence in my art for over a decade. She inspired a generation of anime (and animal) lovers across the globe. I wish she had been able to see it completed, but I'm sure her impact will only continue to grow with the upcoming reboot. Rest in Peace ❤️

I drew this 2 years. We were in Lockdown for 7 days, and my now 3.5 year old was only 1.5. It’s surreal to realize it’s been 2 years since our sense of normalcy and safety were taken away, yet when I think of the “before times” it feels like we’ve lived this way for a decade.
